BCI World Hybrid - the global conference of choice for business continuity & resilience professionals - is back for its 2024 edition!

BCI World Hybrid is the BCI's annual global conference that brings together business continuity and resilience professionals, managers and practitioners from all over the world. The conference programme offers a variety of engaging sessions on business continuity, organizational resilience, operational resilience, as well as related disciplines including crisis management, emergency planning, personal resilience and more.

BCI World 2024

 

This year’s BCI World Hybrid will again combine a two-day Physical and Virtual Conference, taking place from 30th - 31st October 2024, with live-streamed keynotes and breakouts from London to the rest of the world. The Vendor Exhibition will also be of hybrid format, providing great networking opportunities for delegates attending in-person and/or virtually.

What is BCI World Hybrid conference?

BCI World Hybrid is the annual BCI global conference that gathers Resilience professionals from all around the globe. This two-day conference will have a hybrid format – meaning it will feature a physical event in London, UK, complemented with a Virtual event comprising live streamed sessions.  

If you work or are looking to start your career in the Business Continuity & Resilience industry, then this event is a must-attend. Thanks to a packed conference programme, with a variety of streams, outstanding keynotes, engaging panel discussions, and insightful workshops, BCI World Hybrid is a fantastic opportunity to grow your knowledge, advance your skills, and network with a global audience of professionals.  

When and where will it be held?

BCI World Hybrid 2024, will be held on 30th and 31st October, and will comprise both a Physical and Virtual Conference.  

Physical Conference: 

Name badge printing for the Physical Conference will be available from 7:00 PM (GMT), on 29th October, when we will also host a Welcome Networking Drinks reception. Name badge printing will then reopen at 8:00 AM (GMT) on the 30th and 31st October. 

The physical conference will start on 30th October at 9:00AM (GMT) and end on 31st October at 4:25 PM (GMT).  

Virtual Conference:  

The conference live-stream will start on 30th October at 9:00AM (GMT) and end on 31st October at 4:25 PM (GMT).  

How does a hybrid conference work?

We want to make BCI World accessible to professionals across the globe. This is why we opted to make the conference hybrid – which means that you can attend in person or virtually through your laptop.  

BCI World Hybrid is a two-day event that you can attend in person or virtually.  

The Physical Event will take place at the Leonardo Royal London Hotel Tower Bridge, in London, UK, and it will feature: 

  • Keynotes & breakout sessions across the two days;  
  • A large vendor exhibition; 
  • Networking Drinks 
  • BCI Global Awards Ceremony and dinner. 

The Virtual Event will comprise of live-streamed keynotes and a selection of breakouts, which will be recorded and available on demand, plus a virtual exhibition and networking stream. 

Physical or Virtual – which one should I attend?

The answer to this question is very subjective, it depends on what you want to gain from the conference, your location, your schedule, your budget, and so on… but here is what we recommend.  

If you have the possibility to travel to London, UK, attending the Physical conference will provide you with a plethora of great benefits and opportunities including: 

  • Attending in-person sessions to engage directly with keynotes, speakers, and panellists.  
  • Network with fellow professionals & practitioners to exchange opinions, ideas, and even pain points.

If you don’t have the possibility to travel to London, UK, then the Virtual conference is more suited to your needs. By attending online you will still be able to have a great conference experience:

Our early-bird rate discount will be available until 30th June 2024, and if you are a BCI member you will also be entitled to an extra exclusive discount *. You get a further discount if you work in the public sector.

FULL PHYSICAL ticket

When you purchase a FULL PHYSICAL ticket you will have access to all areas (onsite & virtual) of the conference:

  • Networking drinks during early registration on the 29th October.
  • Plenary keynotes sessions, sessions in breakouts 1 & 2, live interviews during breaks  - all live streamed & recorded
  • Additional physical only, non-live streamed sessions in breakouts 3 & 4.
  • Physical and virtual exhibition.
  • Two virtual only networking streams – these won’t be recorded.
  • BCI Global Awards networking drinks, dinner and ceremony (also live streamed & recorded) on the 30th October

When will registration close?

Registration for the PHYSICAL event in London (Conference and BCI Global Awards) will close at 23:59 GMT on  Wednesday, 16th October 2024 or sooner if capacity is reached. To ensure your attendance to the in-person event, we encourage you to secure your spot as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

Registration for the VIRTUAL event will close at 16:00 GMT on Thursday, 31st October 2024

Do I have to be a BCI Member to attend?

You don’t have to be a BCI Member to attend BCI World Hybrid 2024, but if you are a BCI Member you will have access to a special discount when you purchase your ticket.

When is the BCI Global Awards Dinner and what should I wear?

The Global Awards Dinner will be held on 30th October 2024. It will start with a drinks reception before moving into the main arena where a buffet style dinner and drinks will be served. Guests will then be invited to take a seat at a table of their choosing for the main event – the presentation of the BCI Global Awards.  

Dress code will be smart/casual but guests are welcome to wear formal evening wear should they wish to.

Can I just attend the BCI Global Awards Dinner?

Yes! You can now purchase an AWARDS DINNER ONLY ticket

This ticket includes access to the onsite BCI Global Awards networking drinks, dinner and ceremony (also live streamed & recorded) on the 30th October (for registration deadlines please check "When will registration close?" in these FAQs)

Please note: if you are attending the conference as a Full Physical delegate, entry to the BCI Global Awards dinner & ceremony is already included in your ticket - but if you want to bring along somebody just for this evening, please ask them to register and purchase the “AWARDS DINNER ONLY” ticket type.

The BCI Global Awards Ceremony will be also live-streamed for free. 

This ticket DOES NOT INCLUDE access to any other areas of the conference:

  • Networking drinks during early registration on the 29th October.
