In this category, judges will be looking for evidence of a dedicated, experienced and skilled professional who works within a public sector organization.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of continuity/resilience experience.
Applicants will need to provide evidence in all the following criteria, which is based on the BCI Competency Framework:
- Is the nominee professionally certified, and if so, with which organization(s) and at which level?
- Ethics and values – Give an example of when the nominee promoted continuity/resilience to their peers.
- Leadership – Give an example of where the nominee used negotiating skills to bring together opposing interested parties and reach a mutually beneficial outcome.
- Working with others - Give an example of where the nominee had to communicate key messages to others under a challenging situation.
- Thinking and innovating - Give an example of where the nominee had to solve a continuity/resilience problem whilst constrained by a tight budget.
- The organizational environment - Give an example of how the nominee overcame apathy to gain interested party buy-in.
- Why does the nominee deserve this award?
- Provide a testimonial from the nominee’s organization. The evidence must be based on work undertaken within the last 12 months covering the impact the nominee made to increase continuity/resilience capability.
