    Nigel Hoggart

Nigel has extensive experience in helping organisations assess business risks and mitigate threats, from IT failures to natural disasters. As the field has evolved—from disaster recovery to business continuity and now business resilience—Nigel has remained at the forefront, continually adapting and innovating.

He is currently focused on helping organisations recognise the need for resilient crisis communication technologies, enabled by PressArea, the award-winning Press and Media Centre solution.

Throughout his career, Nigel has collaborated with and partnered alongside leading IT disaster recovery and business continuity providers, including Sungard AS, HP, Network Disaster Recovery Ltd, and IBM.

In 2005, as co-founder of Capital Continuity alongside Lee Exall, Nigel played a pivotal role in developing the concept of tiered server recovery, utilising BIPs—a breakthrough technology that enables the prioritisation and instant recovery of IT systems based on application importance and dependencies. His contributions have helped businesses enhance their resilience and maintain continuity in the face of disruption.
