It depends on the volunteer opportunity. For some, such as BCI Mentoring or BCI Chapter groups you just need to sign-up. For BCI Judges or Member Participation Groups you would need to apply for the position. The time commitment can vary by the volunteer role. Some opportunities will be dependent on your own situation and how much time you are willing to give. Yes, most of our volunteers have full-time jobs. We try our best to be transparent with any specific time commitments, providing as much notice as possible. 

Your employer might recognise volunteering as personal development and a CPD opportunity and be happy for you to manage your work time to fit it in.

Any training or support required to undertake the volunteering opportunity will be provided.

Yes absolutely, we encourage all volunteers to log their volunteer hours on their CPD activity log. These hours can count towards your Community Contribution for FBCI membership.
